There are fascinating places to visit with Salisbury and its stunning cathedral just a 20 minute drive away, as is Stonehenge. Tisbury and the amazing Messums Gallery and Wardour Castle are 10 minutes away, the Fovant Badges are 5 minutes away. Bath is just 30 miles. There are fantastic country pubs and restaurants with delicious food such as the Beckford Arms and the Compasses near Tisbury, the King John at Tollard Royal and the Grosvenor in Hindon. There is the spectacular Rushmore Golf Club set in the most beautiful parkland, punting on the Avon, horse racing and go-karting at Salisbury and Thruxton race track is a 1/2 hour drive away.

For those rainy days where walking and going out to the local sights doesn’t seem too appealing or if you fancy a cosy night in, there is a full range of entertainment available including Wi-Fi, 50” Smart TV with Netflix, Bluetooth sound system as well as books, cards and board games.

There is a private terrace which allows guests to enjoy a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. On the terrace are a bench, a table & chairs, a gas barbecue and also a fire pit so that even when it is cooler guests can enjoy a lovely romantic evening.

During the summer months (May to September) there is a private heated salt water system (reduced chlorine) swimming pool that will be available for our Dovecote guests. It has been recently refurbished to a high standard and you are welcome to make use of it by prior arrangement.

With the beautiful surroundings of the Dovecote, it is the perfect place to go for wonderful walks with many public footpaths through the woods and fields all around as well as some lovely National Trust walking routes such as the Dinton Park Walk and the longer more challenging Dinton Park Trail.

There is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine.

A continental breakfast is provided, with muesli, milk, butter, croissants, jam and marmalade.

The fabulously comfortable superking sized bed comes with Egyptian cotton bed linen and goosedown bedding so that guests can enjoy a wonderful night’s sleep.

There are both soft and firmer pillows available as well as the option of a hollow fibre duvet.

Guests have the option of either having a soak in the beautiful roll top bath upstairs (bubble bath and bath bombs provided) or enjoying the spacious shower downstairs with bathroom products from Faith in Nature.
